Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Mountain View resident Rachel C.P. McGowan who was reported missing.

Big Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Mountain View resident Rachel C.P. McGowan who was reported missing.

McGowan, 23, is described as being about 5-foot-5-inches tall, about 195 pounds, with ehu (light colored) straight hair, hazel eyes, and fair complexion. She was last seen wearing hospital type scrubs and may be either operating or an occupant in a white and gold 1995 Mitsubishi Montero SUV bearing license plate #HMY-694, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

McGowan may be in the Kona district and also may be in the company of Hilo resident Albert Manners. Manners, 27, is described as a Hawaiian male, about 5-foot-8-inches tall, about 155 pounds, tan complexion, short black hair and brown eyes, police said.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts or the vehicle should call Detective Norbert Serrao Jr. at 961-2383. Those who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
